Engle Ave Natural Play Space
The 1.5-acre park on Engle Ave is about to get a new look—a natural play space! New London residents worked closely with partners to share their vision to revitalize the park and create a serene space that is welcoming to all.
Natural elements like logs, boulders, and tree stumps encourage kids to use their imaginations. Rain gardens, butterfly gardens, ADA-compliant walking trails, and landscaping that incorporates native species and improves drainage are only a few elements that will revitalize the neighborhood's favorite park.
The gorilla statue, long neglected in Engle Park, is getting a professional restoration makeover! The Seward Johnson Atelier that installed the sculptures throughout Burlington City, will be professionally renovating our gorilla to his former glory. This kicks off the official start of the renovation of the entire park!
